Rope Access RT Technicians - Baytown, TX

Overview MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking a certified Rope Access RT Technician local to the Greater Houston area for a full‑time, nested position. The role includes full participation in nondestructive testing (NDT) operations, evaluation of test results, and physical safety and quality compliance. Responsibilities Train RT assistants, and run the film and grade the film according to customer directives. Set up, calibrate equipment, interpret results, and evaluate outcomes in alignment with relevant codes and standards. Serve as on‑the‑job trainer and provide guidance to NDT level I personnel. Organize and report results of NDT tests. Create NDT data, organize it, and report findings; evaluate data for disposition. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or college credits preferred. Current ASNT NDE Level II certification in the NDT method or equivalent demonstrates adequate knowledge in the NDE method. Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice. Ability to prioritize and complete assignments by specific deadlines. Ability to follow and communicate directions and procedures to subordinates on the project. Valid driver’s license. Ability to generate technical data orally, in writing, and electronically as required. Essential Physical Functions Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs.
