Position Overview Reporting to the Senior Director, Site Finance & Consolidations, the Director, Accounting Operations – US Site Finance is responsible for overseeing Coeur’s site-level finance and accounting functions across its US mining operations. This role ensures the timely and accurate completion of operational financial close processes, provides strong leadership to site controllers, supports SEC reporting and internal controls, and performance reporting to support operational decision-making and strategic initiatives.Location: Remote US with travel as requiredKey ResponsibilitiesOversee the operations of the site accounting departments, including consolidated accounting, financial reporting, and tax functions at the site levelLead the monthly financial close process for Coeur’s mining operations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and conformity with GAAPDirect, oversee, and provide leadership to site controllers across all US operations, including performance management, development, and standardization of processesOversee the execution of site-level financial planning processes, including life-of-mine modeling, annual budgets, forecasts, and strategic plansDevelop, improve, and standardize site-level financial reporting, financial planning, supply chain, and accounting systems/processesAnalyze key performance indicators for operations and project groups and communicate results across management levels to support decision-makingPrepare and review financial analysis, variance explanations, and materials for site General Managers, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of DirectorsSupport the integration of key processes, systems, and data across sites and corporate to enable high-quality information flow and informed strategic planningEnsure transactions are accurately and timely recorded in accordance with GAAP; review journal entries, reconciliations, cash disbursements, and other accounting entries for proprietyPrepare and/or review audit schedules and work directly with external auditors (GT) to resolve questions and issues.Assist with the preparation of 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and other regulatory reports, including coordination of site-level inputs.Support AP and supply chain functions to maintain optimal working capital levelsCoordinates production and compilation of various reports and statements for management review and for accounting purposes.Provide ongoing assistance to internal stakeholders on accounting and Oracle related mattersLead and participate in special projects, including process improvements, system implementations, and value-added financial analysis.Champion data management, model governance, controls, and documentation as a single source of truthIdentify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across site and corporate accounting practicesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA designation strongly preferredMinimum of 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with significant time in operations finance or controller roles within the mining industryMinimum of 5 years of experience managing and leading accounting/finance teamsStrong understanding of GAAP, SEC reporting, internal controls (SOX), and mining-specific accounting (e.g., inventory, reclamation, revenue recognition)Proven ability to advise senior stakeholders, build relationships with site/operational teams, communicate complex financial information, and influence decision-makingExperience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred), Blackline, and other financial reporting toolsOther RequirementsExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrong oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organizationAbility to manage multiple priorities, conflicting stakeholder interests, and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong operational mining knowledge is highly desirableDemonstrated commitment to confidentiality and ethical standardsThe salary range offered for this role is $185,000 - $205,000 USD. The salary range is a good-faith estimate. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Coeur Mining will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Coeur Mining.
