A Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant PTA is needed at

Physical Therapy Assistant Responsibilities Administer physical therapy treatments designed to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing.

Provide skilled physical therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders and under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Respond to requests for physical therapy services by communicating relevant information and making referrals to the Physical Therapist as appropriate.

Implement the patient’s physical therapy plan of treatment under the supervision and direction of the Physical Therapist.

Measure and document patient progress related to motor function, strength, mobility, and muscle performance.

Monitor patient responses to treatment interventions and modify treatment approaches as clinically appropriate, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team (IDT) and supervising Physical Therapist.

Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers in collaboration with the Physical Therapist.

Ensure all documentation is completed accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner in accordance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations.

Attend required meetings and participate in other duties as designated by the Director of Rehabilitation.

Physical Therapy Assistant Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care setting preferred.

Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices and interventions.

Familiarity with the Net Health electronic documentation system preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to effectively work with patients and residents with a variety of personalities, needs, and abilities.

Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists and the interdisciplinary team.

Physical Therapy Assistant Requirements Active and valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in

VA

.

Must be in good standing with all applicable regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
