Illinois Licensed Medical Claims Representative

Managing an inventory of claims, the full-time Illinois Licensed Medical Claims Representative will evaluate compensability and liability, conduct claim investigations, and negotiate settlements while working remotely. Key responsibilities Evaluates claims to determine compensability and liability Conducts investigations to confirm coverage and assess damages Negotiates claim settlements and authorizes payments within authority limits Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in property and casualty claims handling Progress toward a professional designation, such as Associate in Claims (AIC), preferred Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and claims handling procedures Ability to organize and prioritize caseloads for timely resolution of claims
