Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department (ED) (PRN/Variable Shifts)

Work Location Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231 Work Hours PRN/As Needed, Variable Shifts Weekend and Holiday Requirements 6 shifts per 6-week schedule Emergency Department Highlights Self-Scheduling that helps with work life balance Opportunities for educational and career growth Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team Fast-paced, high-volume department averaging 200 patients per day Required Qualifications Nursing Diploma in Nursing required or Associate's degree in nursing required or Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred 1 year of experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required. 1 year of emergency department acute care experience strongly preferred RN - Registered upon hire required and BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required and PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire required and CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention training annually within 90 days required and TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months required or ATCN - Advanced Trauma Care Nurse within 6 months required A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
