Intellectual Property Attorney

Salary Range: $240,000.00 To $280,000.00 Annually

About the Role

The New York office of Norris McLaughlin P.A. has an openingfor a partner-level IP litigation attorney with 15+ years ofexperience in commercial litigation and IP litigation matters, particularly trademark litigation.We are looking for someone who can take a lead role in trying a case andwork both independently and as part of our strong intellectual property team.

Responsibilities

• Help lead a team of IP litigators in federal court matters, including taking the lead in depositions, trial preparation, and assisting in trying the case.
• Prepare clearance opinions, prosecute trademark and copyright applications
• Prepare coexistence and license agreements

Qualifications

• Experience with opposition and cancellation proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office
• Exceptional writing and communication skills
• Must be bar admitted in the state of New York and federal courts in New York
• Must have New York State court experience
• First-chair experience is a plus
