Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS NRP ACLS Must-Have: Previous charge experience Travel experience required Epic charting system experience Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Labor and Delivery specialty. This role requires a night shift working 3x12 hour shifts. The nurse will work in a high-volume delivery room setting. Candidate must have experience managing low-risk obstetrical patients. It is essential to have expertise in external fetal heart monitoring. The nurse will be responsible for circulating C-sections and recovering patients post-operatively. Additional responsibilities include performing sterile vaginal exams and maintaining central lines. The RN will assist with high-risk deliveries and manage complications like pre-eclampsia. Experience with neonatal resuscitation and postpartum education for parents is required. The role entails participation in a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care. Ideal candidates will be comfortable with various procedures from triage to labor management.
