Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures in a fast-paced hospital setting. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes through expert clinical skills and compassionate patient interactions.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor medications during cardiac procedures, ensuring adherence to protocols.
• Assist cardiologists and technologists during procedures such as LHC/PCI, TAVR, Watchman, and EP ablations.
• Assess patient condition pre- and post-procedure, recognizing and responding to any changes.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech and GE MacLab EMR systems.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid state RN license with current acute care hospital experience in a Cath Lab setting.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent hospital Cath Lab RN work experience.
• Maintain BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Preferred: EP experience, stemming experience, and Meditech EMR proficiency.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach.
