Position Details:

• Full contract position for the 2026-2027 school year: August 10, 2026 – May 27, 2027
• Commitment of 37.5 hours per week in an engaging school setting
• Serve an individual student caseload (1:1), ensuring personalized support
• Located near Raeford, NC, providing services onsite only

Qualifications:

• Hold current licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter within the State of North Carolina
• Skilled in American Sign Language (ASL); ability to interpret in a K-12 academic environment
• Previous experience supporting students in a school or educational setting strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and families
• Dependable, professional, and dedicated to student growth and inclusion

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate effective communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and school personnel
• Interpret classroom instruction, school activities, meetings, and events
