Site Operations Manager

Skagit County, WA | Full-Time | $32–$40/hour DOE

A well-established and growing organization in the materials processing industry is seeking an experienced Site Operations Manager to take a key leadership role within a busy outdoor operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on with heavy equipment but is ready to take the next step in their career.

You won't be sitting behind a desk all day. This position combines equipment operation, production oversight, team leadership, maintenance coordination, safety, and day-to-day site management.

For the right person, this role offers a strong path for continued advancement into broader operations leadership as the organization continues to grow.

What You'll Do

Operate Heavy Equipment

Spend a significant portion of your day operating loaders, excavators, screening equipment, grinders and other heavy machinery. You'll help manage material movement, processing, and yard traffic safely and efficiently.

Oversee Daily Production

Coordinate material flow throughout the operation, monitor production needs and adjust priorities based on volume, weather, equipment availability and customer demand.

Manage Equipment Maintenance

Complete and oversee daily inspections, greasing, fluid checks and preventive maintenance. Track service intervals, identify equipment concerns and coordinate repairs with appropriate service resources.

Lead the Team

Provide day-to-day direction to site employees, establish priorities, coordinate scheduling and coverage, train new team members and help create a productive and accountable work environment.

Maintain a Safe & Compliant Operation

Promote strong safety practices throughout the site and ensure materials and operations meet established standards. Training will be provided on industry-specific permitting, inspections, and recordkeeping.

Support Customers & Operational Coordination

Work with customers, drivers, suppliers and internal teams to keep daily operations moving smoothly. You'll also help resolve escalated customer concerns professionally when needed.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience operating loaders and excavators
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort performing routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Previous crew leadership experience or demonstrated readiness to move into leadership
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-moving environment
• Ability to communicate professionally with employees, customers and vendors
• Willingness to learn regulatory and compliance responsibilities
• Comfortable working outdoors year-round

Schedule

Full-time position, generally 7:00 AM–5:00 PM , with two consecutive days off each week. Some weekend work may be required.

Because this is a site leadership position, occasional flexibility outside of normal operating hours may be necessary.

Compensation & Benefits

$32.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience

Benefits include company-paid medical, dental and vision insurance following the eligibility period.
