CT/Radiology Technologist | Part Time 32hrs | Days

Summary Under the supervision of the Chief Cat Scan Technologist, Director of Radiology, Chairman, or Manager, the CT Technologist performs CAT scan imaging procedures and related techniques, resulting in the interpretation by, or at the request of, a licensed independent practitioner. Follows professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements. Education Graduate of an education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). Certification & Licensure Registration required: Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Advanced certification in CT required within 2 years of hire. Certification required: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association. Licensure required: Licensed and Certified by the NH Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy. Experience None required. Responsibilities Performs CT diagnostic or therapeutic procedures in accordance with departmental standards. Assesses pertinent information; prepares and educates patient for procedures and expectations. Completes documentation of patient care and procedure. Utilizes the hospital and departmental information, technology systems and equipment operations. Maintains productivity and manages workload to meet patient care and department needs. Adheres to department policy, procedures, and modality‑specific safety protocols. Engages in departmental meetings, modality meetings, and committee initiatives. Completes hospital, departmental, and professional requirements. Participates in continuous improvement assignments aligned with management and organizational goals. Physical and Work Requirements Physical demands are representative of those encountered in this role. The employee must regularly lift, carry or push/pull up to 10 pounds; frequently lift, carry or push/pull up to 10–25 pounds; and occasionally lift, carry or push/pull up to 20–50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to perform fine motor, repetitive motion, hear, reach, speak, and walk. The employee is occasionally required to bend, climb, kneel, sit, squat, and stand. Specific vision abilities required include color vision, depth perception, far vision, near vision, and peripheral vision. The employee is frequently exposed to airborne pathogens, bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, moving mechanical parts, and radiation, and occasionally exposed to airborne contaminants, chemotherapeutic agents, electrical hazards, slippery surfaces, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
