Registered Charge Nurse (RN) Women's PACU Tampa, FL

A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Charge Nurse (RN) to join its Women's Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. This full-time leadership role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while supporting staff development and promoting clinical excellence in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and oversee the delivery of care for patients recovering in the Women's PACU
• Utilize effective leadership and managerial skills to coordinate daily patient care activities and unit operations
• Serve as a professional role model and clinical resource for nursing team members
• Promote evidence-based practices and maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Support staff development, education, and professional growth initiatives
• Perform preceptor and charge nurse responsibilities as assigned
• Facilitate communication and share organizational information with team members
• Demonstrate professional accountability and commitment to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ACLS certification required if applicable to the department
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), healthcare-related bachelor's degree, or an approved RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification required within seven months of hire or promotion
• Minimum of two years of Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting required
• At least one year of PACU, emergency department, or critical care RN experience preferred
• Previous leadership experience preferred
• Nursing specialty certification preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
