Foreman/Supervisor — Landscaping, Property Maintenance & Facility Repair

East Liberty, Ohio | Year-Round Employment

We are hiring an experienced Foreman to lead a small crew for a local landscaping, property maintenance, and facility repair company in East Liberty, Ohio. This year-round position is ideal for a dependable, hands-on leader who can manage daily work assignments, support crew members, and help complete a wide range of outdoor property and indoor facility projects.

Position Summary

The Foreman will oversee daily field operations, assign work, monitor quality and safety, and work alongside the crew to complete landscaping, maintenance, repair, and light construction projects. This position requires someone who is organized, reliable, safety-minded, and comfortable working in changing weather conditions and varied work environments.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and support a crew of 1–4 team members on landscaping, maintenance, repair, and light construction projects.

• Coordinate daily work assignments, manage project timelines, and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

• Perform hands-on work in lawn care, groundskeeping, snow removal, facility repairs, carpentry, painting, drywall, concrete repair, and general upkeep.

The ideal candidate has practical experience in landscaping, lawn care, snow maintenance, carpentry, construction, and general facility repair, along with the leadership skills needed to keep a crew organized, productive, and safe.

Responsibilities

 Supervise, direct, and support crew members on daily job tasks.

 Operate commercial landscaping equipment and heavy machinery, including bobcats, backhoes, plow trucks, tractors, and related equipment.

 Manage project timelines and help ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to quality standards.

 Maintain accurate records, reports, and job-related documentation.

 Ensure crew members are properly trained, equipped, and following safe work practices.

 Communicate effectively with crew members, other Foremen, and management.

 Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, including tools, vehicles, and equipment.

 Perform general carpentry and construction tasks, including painting, drywall and block patching, hanging boards, pictures, displays, or large TVs, completing small concrete jobs, and moving or repairing office furniture.

 Perform lawn care and landscaping work, including spraying herbicide, applying fertilizer, planting trees and shrubs, plowing snow, and spreading salt.

 Complete other job duties as assigned.

What we’re Looking For

 General carpentry experience.

 General construction experience.

 Ability to operate heavy machinery and commercial equipment, including lawn equipment, bobcats, backhoes, plow trucks, and tractors.

 Lawn care and landscaping experience.

 Handyman or general facility maintenance experience.

 Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

 Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments year-round.

Preferred Experience

• Previous Foreman, crew lead, or supervisory experience.

• Experience with snow removal, salting, and winter property maintenance.

• Experience with basic repairs, punch-list work, or facility maintenance.

• Ability to read work orders, follow instructions, and document completed work.
