Lab Assistant

Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant in Burlington, North Carolina for clinical specimen processing and preparation. The role involves receiving, sorting, and preparing specimens, managing data entry, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Tuesday-Saturday, 2:00pm-10:30pm schedule.
Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and prepare clinical lab specimens for testing
- Perform specimen and patient data entry and scanning
- Monitor laboratory equipment function and perform routine maintenance
- Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and replenish supplies
- Maintain clean work environment and complete administrative records
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Comfort handling biological specimens and ability to identify them accurately
- Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- 3+ months specimen processing or medical/laboratory experience (preferred)
