Day in the Life — Materials Feeding Technician

Location: Cassopolis, MI

Picture the start of your shift: you check your station, review the production schedule, and prepare the next run. You stage materials with care, load them into the machine precisely to spec, and keep a close eye on operation indicators. When something looks off, you notify your supervisor immediately. You wrap up by clearing your area and updating counts so the next teammate is set up for success.

What You’ll Do

• Load and unload raw materials into designated machines following established guidelines and specs.
• Handle materials safely and efficiently to protect product, equipment, and teammates.
• Continuously observe machine operation; escalate concerns or irregularities to the supervisor.
• Keep your work zone clean, orderly, and hazard-free to support a safe, efficient line.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and plant protocols at every step.
• Track usage, document counts, and alert the team to shortages to support inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate with coworkers to hit production targets and meet deadlines.

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Background in manufacturing or warehouse environments is beneficial.
• Comfort operating shop equipment and machinery responsibly.
• Sharp attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Physical stamina with the ability to lift and move heavy materials when needed.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including overtime if required.
