STATUS: Full-time JOB SUMMARY: The Campus Minister cultivates the charisms and core values of our founders, the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Order of the Carmelites, through pastoral care of students. This person must have developed pastoral sensibilities and the personal charisms necessary to support the evangelizing mission of the Church in the context of a Catholic high school. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in theology, pastoral theology, or related field
- Ability to teach theology classes
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially with students and parents
- Excellent supervisory and organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to work with a diverse population of students, colleagues, parents, etc
- Must be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Computer proficiency with internal systems, including the Student Information System and Google
- Understanding of Catholic education and a commitment to embracing and advancing the CCHS Mission
- Must complete all Archdiocesan compliance requirements
- Integrate the charisms of the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Order of the Carmelites through coordinating the CCHS Christian Service Program and the CCHS Leadership Program.
- Serve as campus point person for Sustainability efforts.
- Creation of mission-based content for use in print, digital, social media, and Advisory lessons.
- Coordinate and direct retreats: 8th grade, Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior Morning of Recollection
- Serve as part of the Mission & Ministry Team, including assisting at special events and liturgies
- Fostering and encouraging peer ministry (student to student) as well as adult involvement and participation
- Available for emergencies as part of the school crisis response team
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
- This is a twelve-month position. Hours vary Sunday through Saturday, including evenings and weekends, depending on the demands and needs of the school or department. The Campus Minister is to be present for meetings, fund-raising events, in-service sessions, Formation Sessions, Back-to-School Nights, Open House, Street Scenes, Baccalaureate/Graduation, and other activities as designated by the school.

- Employee must be able to impart and receive detailed information through verbal and written communication.
- Employee must have the ability to work in situations dealing with people and working with set limits, tolerances, and standards.
