Emergency Department Nurse performs nursing interventions in the Emergency Room setting. The ER Nurse is in charge of providing healthcare to patients who urgently need treatment so that they can stabilize their vital signs and limit pain and discomfort. Their duties include identifying the needs of a patient, filling out charts and intake paper and collecting information and samples so they can run tests. Experience preferred.Must have current license with MS State Board of NursingMust have BLSMust have ACLSMust have PALSMust have TNCCPosition: Full Time. Health, Dental + Vision Insurance; 401(A); PTO/STO; Short Term/Long Term DisabilityER Nurse duties and responsibilitiesTriage incoming patients based on level of injury or illnessImmediately stabilize incoming patientsAdminister medication as instructed by physiciansStart intravenous linesCreate and maintain incoming patient recordsWork with team of emergency staff to help patientsHelp transfer stable patients to other wingsER Nurse skills and qualificationsExpert knowledge of emergency medicineAbility to work in a fast-paced environment under pressureExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExceptional multitasking and time-management skillsAbility to work closely with a team and patientsWillingness to continually learn the latest advancements in emergency medicineExcellent interpersonal skills
