Occupational/Urgent Care Health Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA)

Location: Moraine / Brookville, OH area

Position Type: Part-Time (24 hours/week)

Schedule: 3 days per week | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Flexible on days)

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide comprehensive occupational health care and clinical leadership at our outpatient facility.

In this role, you will oversee medical operations, deliver direct clinical care, manage health and safety initiatives, and foster employee wellness. You will collaborate closely with leadership, HR, Union representatives, safety teams, industrial hygiene, and ergonomics professionals to ensure full compliance with federal and state occupational regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Occupational Practice

• Diagnosis & Treatment: Provide direct clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for workplace injuries and acute illnesses as approved by the Medical Director (including simple outpatient procedures).

• Medical Examinations: Perform medical surveillance evaluations, pre-placement qualification exams, return-to-work evaluations, and fitness-for-duty assessments.

• Disability & Workers' Compensation: Assist in managing Workers' Compensation cases, disability leaves, and job placement accommodations.

• Emergency Response: Direct and train the facility First Responder / Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT); act as plant-level emergency response coordinator where indicated.

• Preventative Health: Lead and support preventative health programs, including Ergonomics, Bloodborne Pathogen exposure protocols, and Travel Medicine.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

Required Education & Credentials

For Physician Assistants (PA):

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies (or equivalent appropriate field).

• Active PA National Certification (NCCPA).

• Current, unrestricted PA license in the State of Ohio.

• Active DEA license and prescriptive authority.

For Nurse Practitioners (NP):

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.

• Active National Board Certification (AANP or ANCC).

• Current, unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of Ohio.

• Active DEA license and prescriptive authority.

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Clinical experience in Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, or Urgent Care .

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, Workers' Compensation management, and disability processes.

• Strong leadership, communication, and multi-disciplinary teamwork capabilities.
