Site Reliability Engineer II

Responsibilities
- Contribute to infrastructure as code practices, agentic coding workflows, and technical code reviews across the platform.
- Support platform architecture decisions and technology standardization under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Help design and build a Kubernetes-based platform that automates core infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on application design patterns for consuming platform services.
- Build and operate a self-service platform that provides datastore solutions with best-practice utilization patterns.
- Partner with application teams to diagnose datastore performance bottlenecks and identify optimization opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering is required; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Must be a United States citizen able to gain CJIS clearance for full US production access.
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience is required; platform automation or developer experience tooling is a plus.
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems and familiarity with microservice architectures are required.
- Familiarity with agentic AI tooling or LLM-powered developer tools is required.
- Working knowledge of cloud-hosted services and architectures across Azure, AWS, or GCP is required.
- Hands-on experience with observability platforms such as Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic is required.
- Familiarity with relational or NoSQL datastores such as MySQL, Cassandra, or PostgreSQL is required.
- Experience with message queue systems such as Kafka is required.
- Working knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi is required.
