Purchasing AssociateThe Purchasing Associate is a purchasing professional that acts as the intermediary between sales, purchasing and suppliers in the form of product delivered on time or providing the best solutions to meet the needs of the sales team and customers.Essential FunctionsProvide excellent customer service to the sales team by acting as the intermediary between sales, purchasing, and our suppliersSet up new vendors, send out new vendor packets, and track in logMaintain files, records, correspondence, reports, and databases used by the purchasing departmentContact suppliers for shipping data information on a daily basis based on assignments through the Expedite Center, may include weekly phone meetings, when deemed neededUpdate the Expedite Center with due date information on a daily basisProblem solve "on-time" part delivery (on time being defined as meeting the customer due date)Provide options and solutions to the sales teams and the customer and initiate actions necessary to resolve problems that ariseAssist with Switchboard coverage when necessaryAll other duties as assignedKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesExceptional attention to detail and accuracyBasic/intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)Excellent problem solving skillsTelephone etiquetteOrganizational and time management skillsWritten and verbal communication skillsProficient typing skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet established expectationsRequired Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent1+ years of experience in customer service and/or administrative or purchasing support preferredAdditional Position InformationLocation: Brillion, WI (on-site)Benefits: Endries offers a great benefit package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, generous paid time off, a company matched 401K plan, and much more.
