WHAT WILL YOU DO

• Plan, evaluate, and implement high quality medical care with appropriate resource management for patients, both adults and children
• Adhere to the service and courtesy standard of University Hospitals Urgent Care by delivering the highest standard of patient satisfaction at all times
• Provide patient care within the respective clinical area that complies with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules, regulations and University Hospitals Urgent Care policies and procedures
• Serve as a resource for patient/family and staff
• Maintain authenticated records of all services rendered and ensure accurate and complete documentation in an acceptable manner
• Complete necessary documentation and ensure communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement
• Participate in meetings and activities as required to support operations of the urgent care
• Engage in professional development activities, complete and maintain certification in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS and maintain any additional specialty training or certifications as required by the area assigned
• Report to the Area Clinical Operations Director

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Board Certified (or Board Eligible) and Licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
• Current DEA registration
• Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
• Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
• BLS certification (we will provide this if needed)
• Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care
• Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other employees
