Job Opportunity – Pulmonology/Critical Care Physician – South Carolina
Start Date: Intermittent assignments potentially beginning February 2027
Location: South Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Flexible scheduling available. ICU shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Hospital coverage: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Pulmonary/Critical Care). Both assignments run Monday – Sunday with no call coverage required.
Highlights:
- Inpatient-only practice with adult and geriatric patient population (no pediatrics or neonatal care)
- Daily patient volume of 10-15 patients in ICU setting or 10-15 hospital consultations
- State-of-the-art Epic EMR system for streamlined documentation
- Coverage for multiple facilities with 38 total critical care beds including ICU, CCU, and CVICU
- Collaborative team environment with up to 3 physicians and 3 advanced practice clinicians on weekdays
- Comprehensive travel reimbursements including airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Critical Care (required); Pulmonology certification preferred
- Active South Carolina state medical license (required)
- Active ACLS certification (required)
- Active DEA license (required)
- Fellowship training in Critical Care/Pulmonology (required)
- Ability to provide both intensive care management and general pulmonology consultations
- Credentialing timeframe: approximately 120 days
