This role serves as a technical project lead to resolve complex and critical supplier-related issues, while improving supplier performance, mitigating risks for supplied materials and driving strategies to support supply chain objectives. At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Responsibilities will include: Partnering with global suppliers as the technical expert to understand manufacturing processes and maintain consistent product quality and reliability throughout the product lifecycleServing as a technical lead in Global Sourcing category teams to establish and execute category objectivesAssessing new and existing technologies to support future product development and improve the quality and reliability of current productsPartnering with suppliers and category team members to investigate supplied material issues and supply constraintsCollaborating with R&D, manufacturing and process development teams on electrical and mechanical design requirements for new product development Partnering with cross-functional teams to execute changes initiated by BSC or suppliers, such as improvement projects, supplier capability, capacity projects, and compliance projects Coordinating all phases of supplier engineering work content for projects; communicate emerging issues and action plans with site leadership and stakeholders to gain resources and support Identifying and executing material cost reduction projects to meet plant, division, and category goals, while influencing cross-functional support in driving value improvement projects Maintaining compliance with the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures to ensure patient safety and product qualityRequired qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline Minimum 5 years of technical experience supporting complex mechanical or electrical systemsAbility to travel up 20% globallyPreferred qualifications: Experience working in medical device or a similar GMP environmentExperience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive project deliverablesWorking knowledge of statistical methods, six sigma methodologies, and problem-solving methodologiesEffective problem-solving and critical thinking analytical skills; results-drivenExcellent communication and project management skills Organized and detail-oriented; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projectsSelf-driven and self-motivated to learn and apply knowledge to produce resultsStrong interpersonal skills with ability to develop internal and external relationships Requisition ID: 631635Minimum Salary: $ 85000Maximum Salary: $ 161500The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
