(USA) Meat Lead

Position Summary As a Meat Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise a team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in meat and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. What You'll Do Supervise the team within the meat department to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club by communicating the goals of the department, executing company programs, adhering to policies, and being an advocate for the member, the associate, and the company while working collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the club meets the members’ expectations. Maintain an in‑depth knowledge of business on the floor and backroom operations, product updates and specifications. Ensure the meat department meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, production, equipment usage, safety, sanitation, and compliance while sharing knowledge and prioritizing training for the team to understand item specifications and use approved equipment for high volume products. Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality, and adopt new tools while encouraging others to use them. Develop and maintain operational excellence: keep a neat, clean, and safe work area; use digital tools for forecasting, planning, and production; facilitate the product inventory and ordering process; ensure appropriate staffing levels and accurate audit and compliance standards; maintain equipment and storage systems; produce and display merchandise per the layout plan. Teach and train the team by identifying training needs, providing necessary skills, and encouraging career growth. Source new talent internally and externally to strengthen the team. Collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners to develop, communicate, and implement processes that meet business needs. Analyze information from multiple sources, monitor progress, results, and identify improvement opportunities. Promote and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Demonstrate proper application, implement action plans, and assist management in correcting ethical and compliance issues. Lead and participate in team activities by sharing resources, information, and tools; determining customer needs and business priorities; coordinating and executing work assignments; providing advice, feedback, and support to ensure timely and high‑quality results; modeling adaptability to change. Salary The hourly wage range for this position is $24.00 to $32.00. *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Minimum Qualifications 6 months experience in a meat production department or 6 months experience supervising a team. Must be 18 years of age or older. Ability to successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within prescribed time periods (if hired). Preferred Qualifications Meat processing experience, including boneless and bone‑in products. Experience supervising associates. Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
