On-Site Supervisor

The On-Site Supervisor will be under the direction of the Lakin Coordinator. The Supervisor will assist in providing and coordinating the necessary support, resources, supervision, and leadership to ensure the provision of nurturing care and education to young children in a group setting at the Center. Responsibilities include establishing the organization, center operational duties, staff management, and children/parents/guardians care. Minimum qualifications include being at least 18 years of age, having a high school diploma or GED, meeting certification through the Iowa Department of Human Services as a Site Supervisor, having employment experience working with children, some experience in managing people, and being highly organized. The position requires good organization and communication skills, ability to perform several tasks at one time, and the ability to read, write, and communicate with staff and parents/guardians. The position requires constant lifting, twisting, stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to routinely lift 35-45 pounds. Work flexible hours between 6am and 6pm. Regular attendance.
