Authorization Coordinator

Job Title
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical skills and industry knowledge to effectively coordinate authorizations.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office (including Outlook, Word).
- Flexibility to work from both an in-office setting and remotely from home in a secure location.
- Must have own high-speed internet at home.
- Typing speed: 60 wpm.
- Excellent time management, organization, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining attention to accuracy and details.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Medicare coverage and Medicaid coverage (Medicare and CMS guidelines, eMedNY Provider Manuals).
- Experience setting up or assigning authorizations for review.
- Knowledge of HCPCS, CPT codes, ICD 10, HIPAA, and PHI.
- Coding/billing experience.
- Additional programs utilized but prior knowledge is not required (Perceptive Content Image Now, MS Access, Adobe and Altruista Guiding Care, Excel, Teams, OneNote).
