Elementary Teacher (LD/EBD/DCD-MM/DCD-SP/ASD) Extended School Year (ESY)

Description

WORK DAYS: June 8, June 15-18, June 22-25; Prior to ESY sessions there will also be prep and planning time.

WORK HOURS: Staff hours: 7:45 am - 1:45 pm / Student hours: 8:00 am - 1:30 pm

LOCATION: TBD

REPORTS TO : ESY Lead and Special Education Administrator, site Principal/Assistant Principal.

SALARY: Per the REA contract, $49.52 per hour; Includes mandatory meetings, planning time and supervision of students before and after school.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minnesota Special education teaching license required.
• Previous ESY experience preferred.
• Regular, on-time attendance is required.
• Successful special education teaching background required.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Familiar with students at the site.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lesson planning and delivery based on students' IEP goals indicated for ESY.
• Collect data for progress reporting at the end of the session.
• Complete written progress reports and send to families.
• Communication with families.
• Provide direct instruction to maintain student skill levels.
• Communicate attendance with ESY Lead teacher at your site.
