Baptist Health Medical Group is looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused **Patient Access Coordinator** to join our Primary Care team in the LaGrange area.As a Patient Access Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring patients have a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive or call our office. If you’re passionate about customer service, thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team, we’d love to meet you. ## What You’ll DoIn this role, you will:* Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone.* Register patients accurately by collecting demographic, insurance, and visit information.* Verify insurance eligibility, Medicare compliance, and patient benefits before appointments.* Pre-register patients and discuss insurance benefits and financial responsibilities with confidence and compassion.* Calculate patient responsibility estimates and collect point-of-service payments while explaining payment expectations and available payment options.* Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.* Utilize patient access and registration software to support efficient office operations.* Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations related to patient access services.* Complete ongoing education and training requirements.* Support the team by performing additional administrative duties as needed. ## What We’re Looking For**Preferred Qualifications:*** High school diploma or equivalent.* Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.* Knowledge of medical terminology.* Strong computer and data entry skills.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.* A positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. ## Why Join Baptist Health Medical Group?At Baptist Health Medical Group, our team members are at the heart of everything we do.
