Line Cook (Part-Time)

Line Cook is responsible for prepping the grill area (keeping all relevant food products available for short order food production), performing basic short order cooking (burger, sandwiches, fries), and providing excellent customer service at the register and needed. Additionally, this role assists with general kitchen preparation and event prep support as needed. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Food Preparation & Cooking: Arrive on time to the scheduled shift, prep the grill area efficiently, and execute short-order cooking. - Meal Service: Portion and plate items according to established standards. - Customer Service: Interact with guests at the register and service counter in an efficient, polite, and appropriate manner. - Kitchen Support: Assist with general kitchen, catering, and event preparation tasks as needed. - Regulatory Compliance: Adherence to all Health Department regulations regarding personal dress, cleanliness, safe food handling, and preparation. - Sanitation & Safety: Maintain a clean and safe food service environment by adhering to regulatory standard clean-up procedures. - Operational Support: Complete necessary side work during slower periods, including cleaning, restocking, and re-organizing workstations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Requires High School diploma or equivalent - Some food service experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - Required to lift 25 pounds - Stand during work shift, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch - Speak to customers with proper grammar and in a pleasant manner - Required to taste and/or smell WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.
