Inpatient Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem

This position is eligible for a $3,000 Sign On Bonus

Bargaining Unit: EA

Rate of Pay: $34.47/hour + DOE (Base Pay of $30.64 includes 12.5% per diem premium)

Description

Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers medications pursuant to physician's orders after being processed by a pharmacist.
• Maintains compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies.
• Contributes to the effective operations of the department.
• Participates in the quality improvement activities of the department.
• Maintains adequate office supplies.
• Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.
• Complies with System policies and procedures.
• Other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Education/Experience Certificate of completion from college or vocational school (One year certificate from college or technical school) or 2-3 years relevant experience

Required Licenses/Certifications California Pharmacy Technician License Upon hire

Other Experience/Qualifications Required: 2-3 years pharmacy technician experience Preferred: Current pharmacy technician certification in the State of Nevada
