What you’ll do at DBH Supervises correction officers assigned to shift being covered Recommends approval/disapproval of officer leave requests Completes shift reports for submittal to Captain Completes annual and probationary Performance Evaluations as assigned Supports Nursing Leadership on shift as needed Train officers in the security operations at Timothy B. Moritz Forensic Unit Monitors & coordinates shift security operations & documents activities Makes daily inspection rounds to observe shift activity & to ensure compliance with all security, safety, fire, health, sanitation & other hospital regulations Response to emergency codes to support staff & patients This is an hourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units, with a pay range of 11 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule . Normal shift hours are 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm. Schedules may be changed to meet operational needs outside of the posted general working hours. Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
