You load a Mitsubishi wire EDM or a Makino sinker, confirm your offsets, and run a first-article check. During the shift, you fine-tune NC code to tighten cycle times, perform in-process inspection to exacting tolerances, and troubleshoot a tricky setup by improving a fixture and refining technique.
