Senior AI Product Manager

Workiva is seeking a Senior AI Product Manager to lead the execution, scale, and lifecycle management of machine learning and artificial intelligence capabilities within Workiva’s platform. In this role, you will bridge the gap between advanced data science and practical customer value, translating complex AI capabilities into tangible business value for our customers, with a strong emphasis on shipping impactful products from conception to widespread adoption. You will collaborate directly with engineering, data science, and design teams to deliver high-performance enterprise tools that maximize platform intelligence and user efficiency.What You’ll DoProduct Strategy & VisionDeeply understand and articulate a compelling product vision and strategy for AI/ML features, aligning with company objectives and market opportunitiesConduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery to identify unmet needs and opportunities for AI-driven innovationDevelop detailed product roadmaps, user stories, and acceptance criteria for AI/ML initiatives, ensuring clear prioritization and measurable outcomesProduct Lifecycle Management & DeliveryLead the end-to-end product lifecycle for AI/ML features, from ideation and validation to development, launch, and post-launch optimizationDrive the execution of product initiatives, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of features that meet customer needs and business goalsCollaborate closely with engineering and data science teams to translate complex AI models and algorithms into intuitive, scalable, and performant product experiencesChampion a data-driven approach, utilizing metrics and analytics to inform product decisions and measure the success of launched featuresTechnical Acumen & CollaborationServe as the bridge between business needs and technical execution, possessing a strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, data pipelines, and scalable system architecturesEngage deeply with engineering teams, understanding the technical complexities and trade-offs involved in building enterprise-grade AI solutionsContribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions, ensuring product requirements are technically feasible and align with our platform's underlying infrastructureStakeholder Engagement & Go-to-MarketPartner with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies, enablement materials, and compelling messaging for new AI featuresGather feedback from internal and external stakeholders, acting as the voice of the customer within the product development processPresent product strategies, roadmaps, and updates to executive leadership, customers, and other key stakeholders​What You’ll NeedMinimum Qualifications6+ years of product management experience in software development or related fieldProven track record of successfully shipping products that have achieved market adoption and business impact Demonstrated experience managing product lifecycles from ideation through launch and iteration in an Agile development environmentBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical fieldPreferred Qualifications 2-3+ years specifically focused on AI/ML products or features within a B2B SaaS or enterprise software environmentPractical experience managing products that leverage Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), or automated agentic workflows Technical literacy regarding data pipelines, dataset curation/labeling requirements, and core model evaluation metrics (e.g., precision, recall, latency)Familiarity with enterprise software design principles, including microservices architectures and API-first product deliveryDemonstrated ability to convey technical constraints and algorithmic trade-offs clearly to non-technical business leaders and executive stakeholdersStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-makingAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectivelyMaster's degree preferredCertifications in product management or AI/ML preferred Working Conditions & Travel RequirementsAbility to travel up to 20% to meet with customers, stakeholders, and product teams at other Workiva locationsReliable internet connection required during remote work periodsHow You’ll Be Rewarded Salary range in the US: $129,000.00 - $261,000.00 A discretionary bonus typically paid annually Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits packageThe salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US.
