Job Details Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210 Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Shifts per Week: 3 Shift Duration: 12 hours Hours per Week: 36 Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,050 - $2,160 Weekend Coverage: Required Float: Required within the organization as needed Patient Population: Adolescents and adults Unit Setting: Mixed-acuity med surg and PCU environment Job Requirements Minimum of 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required Active RN license in hand at time of submission BLS and ACLS certification required Experience in PCU, stepdown, telemetry, or a similar acute care setting preferred Comfortable caring for orthopedic and neuro surgery patients Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical setting Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program preferred Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care to PCU patients with orthopedic and neuro surgery diagnoses Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Manage IVs, central lines, arterial lines, and other common progressive care nursing interventions Administer medications and support cardiac, insulin, and vasoactive drips per unit protocols Perform wound care, drain management, tracheostomy care, and other advanced bedside nursing tasks as needed Collaborate with physicians, therapy teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and support staff to coordinate care Float to other units within the organization based on patient care needs Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high standards of patient safety and teamwork Apply now for this PCU RN travel nursing job in Columbus, Ohio and join a team that values clinical excellence, collaboration, and compassionate care.
