We are: A team of STEM-loving folks who spend our days transforming laboratory science into fun, interactive learning experiences for youth from Pre-K to 6th grade. We believe in working smart and having a good time. We all wear many hats and we work collaboratively to get things done and ensure that our students and their families are thrilled by their learning experience. The Job: It's different. We know it. We hope that's exciting to you! We really have a great time with the kids, they love our programs! You can work anywhere from 1 day to 5 days a week teaching a science workshops during the afternoon and/or weekends. We provide ALL supplies, equipment and curriculum to teach the EASY, yet fun science classes. Most of our Jr. Scientists are in K-5th grade, you'll teach basic science concepts in a fun and engaging way. What will you do? You will drive to a school, daycare or park and rec (we offer a mileage reimbursement plan) You will lead a one hour exciting, immersive and interactive science lesson (after a lot of paid training so that you feel totally comfortable in all ways) Pay: Instructing $40-50/ per one hour class (with set up and take down it averages about $25-$28 per hour) Most days you will work 1, maybe 2 programs per day.
