This role will require strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a keen attention to detail and a commitment to safety.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse personnel, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and support as neededEnsure the timely and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of goods and materials, in compliance with company policies and proceduresMaintain accurate inventory records and conduct periodic physical inventory countsEnsure that all safety protocols and standards are followed, and that all employees are trained on safe operating proceduresTroubleshoot and resolve any issues related to inventory, equipment, or personnelCollaborate with other departments (e.g. transportation, customer service) to ensure smooth and efficient operationsParticipate in process improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce costsPerform other duties as assigned by managementEducational background / Work experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferredAt least 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership roleExperience with inventory management, shipping and receiving, and order fulfillmentSkills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, customers, and other stakeholdersSolid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processesAttention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsFunction / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / ProcessesSupervisory Responsibilities (if any)Supervises and trains warehouse staffPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in logistics, business, or a related fieldCertification in warehouse management or related fieldLanguage skillsFluent in English (oral and written)Computer LiteracyProficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applicationsExperience with warehouse management systems and inventory management software preferred.At Will EmploymentDSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as “at will” employees.
