This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients with complex health needs in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and promoting recovery through evidence-based practices. Job Details Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing; Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or ARC); At least 2 years of nursing experience, including 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience. Demonstrates competence in care of patients with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects of care. Performs bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plan. Utilizes healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies, and procedures in delivery of care. Organizes and prioritizes care according to patient and family needs. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to develop and update patient care plans. Recognizes data from complex situations to determine care priorities, including anticipating discharge needs and assessing cultural and ethnic considerations. Participates in evaluation of patient care and quality improvement activities. Assists in developing professional growth goals and actively participates in unit goals and performance improvement initiatives. Demonstrates effective communication skills and promotes a safe, secure hospital environment. Brings ideas and questions to staff teams for continuous improvement and evidence-based practice enhancement.
