Summary:
- The hourly Paraprofessional pay rate to work on assignment in Lower Dauphin School District ranges between $20.16 - $22.16 per hour. (Hourly rate is based on assigned position type)
- 10 days Paid Time Off (PTO) pro-rated based upon start date.
- The Paraprofessional will work on student days following the academic calendar year
- Paraprofessionals will support students in one of the following areas: Autistic, Emotional, Instructional, Life Skills, Learning Support and Vocational

Primary Responsibilities:
As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, behavioral, social, and personal growth within the classroom and school environment. Responsibilities include:
- Provide instructional, behavioral, and/or physical support to individual students or small groups, including on-task prompting, social skills development, and self-care assistance.
- Support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans by implementing accommodations and strategies as directed.
- Reinforce learning concepts, classroom instruction, and skill development to help students achieve their educational goals.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups to provide targeted academic and behavioral support.
- Assist students in developing organizational, communication, problem-solving, and independent living skills.
- Guide students through classroom activities, monitor participation and progress, and provide feedback to instructional staff.
- Promote positive student behavior and help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and school administrators to support student success.
- Supervise students during lunch, recess, arrival/dismissal, transitions, and other non-instructional school activities.
- Foster positive relationships with students while encouraging independence, confidence, and social-emotional growth.
