Cook/Food Services Substitute

Food Service Substitute

Responsible for assisting with food preparation and serving food; assists with cleaning. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.

Minimum Training or Formal Education: High school graduate

Minimum Experience: Up to one year of previous experience in a related field.

Skill Requirements:

Computer
Some knowledge of commercial cooking and baking
Commercial cooking equipment
Basic math
Effective communication

General Expectations:

Is flexible and adaptable to change
Can work collaboratively with supervisors and co-workers
Maintains a positive attitude
Observes all district policies and procedures
Supports the Sheridan School District Strategic Plan

Clearances: Must clear background check through Colorado Department of Human Services in addition to an online Records check, and FBI Fingerprint check through Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

Salary: The hourly rate is $18.55, based on the Classified Salary Schedule.

Benefits: This position is part-time and not benefit-eligible. Sheridan School District No. 2 is a public employer and participates in the Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association (PERA). All employees are required by state statute to contribute 11% of their salary on a pre-tax basis to PERA, and the District contributes 21% in addition to the employee contribution.
