Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapist Weekly Pay $1599 - $1799 Shift Shift 12 Hour Night Shifts Per Week 3 Scheduled Hours 36 Start Date 05/10/2026 End Date 08/09/2026 Duration 13 Week(s) Job Description The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care by delivering intensive respiratory care and facilitating patient transport into and out of the facility as medically prescribed. Responsibilities include evaluating patients and recommending treatment plans, as well as educating patients about procedures and treatments. Schedule This position requires a night shift of 3x12 hour rotations. Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Responsibilities Conduct physician-prescribed treatments operating various ventilatory equipment, both invasive and non‑invasive. Administer medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation to patients using oxygen and aerosol devices and nebulizer devices. Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning through various methods (oropharyngeal, nasal, tracheal). Monitor oximetry, capnography, and perform routine reviews of chest x‑rays. Conduct pulmonary function studies, perform 12‑Lead EKGs, and recognize basic arrhythmias. Assist with procedures such as Bronchoscopy, Perc Trachs, and Chest Tube placements. Manage tracheostomy care, including insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes. Perform arterial punctures and monitor, record, and report test results. Conduct cardiopulmonary resuscitation per BLS and ACLS guidelines. Set up, self‑test, operate, maintain, and monitor mechanical ventilation equipment. Facilitate preventative maintenance and repair of respiratory care equipment. Document treatments and patient responses in respiratory care records and patient charts. Communicate with healthcare team members regarding the efficiency of therapy administered to patients. Maintain accurate respiratory therapy charging and documentation. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Candidates must possess a valid Respiratory Therapy license and relevant certifications.
