Job Summary Functions in an advanced scrub role for operative procedures or as a cardiovascular CST. Provides an advanced level of practice utilizing knowledge, expertise, and involvement in professional activities to serve as a resource person for the patient population. Plans and executes complex daily activities, including prioritizing work to meet the "30-minute" guarantee for inpatients and 25 minutes for outpatients in turnovers (patient out to in). Demonstrates role model professionalism and a working knowledge of advanced technology such as minimally invasive procedures and daVinci. Contributes to reducing cost per case by improving preference card accuracy, choice of supplies, and suture selection. Serves as a preceptor for students and new hires. Prefer candidate to have previous CVOR CST experience. Department Operating Room Work Schedule Four 10’s – 6:15 – 16:45 Monday through Friday; On-Call Required. Salary Details Hourly rate is determined by years of experience as a CST and internal equity within the organization. Minimum rate starts at $31.10, maximum of the salary range is $46.70. Required Qualifications Current CST national certification; must maintain certification with documented proof. Minimum of one (1) year of cardiovascular experience, or three (3) years of general and vascular surgery experience. Required License and Certifications BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR.
