Security Officer Flex Building Access Control in Aliso Viejo, CA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $23.04 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM How This Role Works Fixed‑Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a logistics and distribution location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity and support site rules. Monitor entry and exit activity for staff, visitors, vendors, and deliveries, helping to verify credentials, follow access procedures, and report irregularities involving shipments, gates, and restricted areas. Support daily operations by observing facility conditions, helping with traffic and vehicle flow at access points, and communicating clearly during routine activities and/or unexpected events. Minimum Requirements Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
