If you're passionate about optimizing large-scale network infrastructures and thrive in a complex, multi-site environment, we want to hear from you!ResponsibilitiesNetwork Design & Engineering: Provide subject matter expertise in the engineering, design, and maintenance of a corporate, campus-wide CISCO LAN plant featuring Gigabit switching and routing to both internal and external networksEnterprise Network Solutions: Support the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of enterprise network solutions across multiple sites (over 200 locations)Technology Refresh Support: Play an active role in the planning, design, and deployment of technology refreshes for the enterprise networkLaboratory Assessments: Conduct lab assessments for both classified and unclassified DISN Services, ensuring proper connectivity and interoperability between WAN, IOEE/IOSEE, and DISA's NOCs (Network Operation Centers)Interoperability & Connectivity: Ensure the seamless interoperability of WAN, IOEE/IOSEE, and DISN network equipment and servicesImplementation & Task Management: Plan, track, and document implementation tasks, ensuring the successful deployment of network solutionsConfiguration & Documentation: Create and maintain configuration artifacts such as network maps, detailed designs, test plans, operations readiness test reports, device configurations, and maintenance proceduresProject & Incident Management: Monitor the completion of assigned tasks, projects, work orders, and incidents to ensure timely resolutionSpecification Development: Develop technical specifications for simple to moderately complex network problems and solutionsMinimum Requirements5+ years of progressive experience in LAN/WAN engineering support, Network Administration, and WAN Administration within both classified and unclassified environmentsExpertise in LAN/WAN protocols such as BGP, MPLS, and LDP, with experience in a service provider environmentSolid background in network design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a multi-vendor environmentProficiency in device configuration for both wired and wireless technologies, as well as voice and video technologiesActive Secret clearance with SSBI or Top-Secret clearanceValid U.S. Passport for potential OCONUS travelDoD 8570 Baseline Certification (Category IAT Level III), such as CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCSPCisco Certified Network Professional-Enterprise (CCNP-E) certification or equivalentCreativity and adaptability in problem-solvingAbility to work with clients to understand their needsStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProfessional presencePreferred SkillsExpertise in 10 Gigabit Ethernet LAN technologies and associated software and hardware equipmentStrong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple assigned projects and report on status and implementation plansExcellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersPreferred certifications: AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, CompTIA Cloud+, Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE)Ability to obtain Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) or higher certificationAbility to work in a team environment, as well as independentlyStrong customer and vendor relationship skillsDemonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policiesMotivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate valuePast experience working with a Federal agencyDepartment of War, etc. experience is a plus!About CSCI CSCI is an award-winning information technology and financial management consulting firm founded on one simple philosophy: "Do what is right, always."
