Job Summary Pipefitter – Baytown II, TX. Responsible for reading drawings, installing piping, and welding on a construction site. Responsibilities Reading drawings, taking measurements, and drawing isometrics to install piping efficiently Basic knowledge of blueprints and ability to interpret them Bolting, clamping, and tack‑welding parts to secure them for welding Distinguishing varying thickness and types of metal materials Positioning and clamping fabricated metal components for welding Knowledge of pipe fittings, bolts, valves, etc., as required Assembling and securing pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment by welding and threading joints without errors Manually handling and applying rigging equipment Welding small areas to client specifications Operating tools and equipment, including beveling machines, cut‑off grinders, hammers, torches, magnetic drills, welding machines, and a Saw‑Zall Physical Demands Work outdoors in extreme heat, humidity, cold, and high elevations Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs Standing for extended periods up to 12 hours per day Use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending on a regular basis Work on elevated platforms, maintain balance on narrow beams and pipes, and use a full‑body harness and lanyard when required Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects and/or tools Qualifications At least 1.5 years of experience as a pipefitter Willingness and ability to travel, work extended periods away from home, and work shifts up to 12 hours per day, 7 days per week Ability and willingness to meet all physical demands of the job Willingness to attend mandatory safety meetings and serve as a safety role model Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a gas plant construction environment Three years of experience as a pipefitter Leadership experience in safety Familiarity with welding basics Benefits Medical, dental, vision, flexible spending and health savings accounts, life insurance, disability, retirement, paid vacation/time off, educational assistance, infertility assistance, paid parental leave, and adoption assistance.
