Registered Dental Hygienist

A well-established private dental practice in West Orange, NJ is seeking an experienced and personable Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. We are looking for a hygienist who takes pride in providing excellent clinical care while also building genuine, long-term relationships with patients. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience , a positive personality, strong communication skills, and the ability to make patients feel comfortable and well cared for. We value hygienists who are confident in their clinical abilities while also being receptive to feedback, willing to follow established systems, and able to work collaboratively with the doctors and team. What You'll Do Provide comprehensive preventive hygiene care, including routine cleanings and periodontal maintenance Perform periodontal assessments, charting, and screenings Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, and recommended treatment Build strong relationships with patients and encourage long-term preventive care Communicate clinical findings and treatment recommendations effectively with patients and doctors Maintain accurate and thorough patient records Follow established clinical protocols, infection control procedures, and OSHA/HIPAA requirements Work collaboratively with the doctors and dental team to provide an exceptional patient experience Manage a productive schedule while maintaining a high standard of patient care What We're Looking For NJ Registered Dental Hygienist license Ideally 2+ years of clinical hygiene experience Strong clinical and periodontal assessment skills Warm, friendly, and professional personality Excellent communication and patient education skills Someone who enjoys getting to know patients and building a loyal patient following Coachability and willingness to take direction and feedback Dependable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team Ability to balance efficiency with high-quality, patient-centered care Experience with dental practice management/charting software is a plus Why Join Us?
