Our organization , situated in Poughkeepsie, New York, just a short 75-minute journey from New York City, is on the lookout for an additional Medical Oncologist to enhance our expanding division. Preference will be given to candidates with training and/or experience in gastrointestinal or genitourinary oncology. We embrace a multi-disciplinary and integrated approach to care, focusing on disease site-specific strategies. In partnership with Surgical and Radiation Oncologists, we are assembling a cohesive team of medical oncologists and allied health professionals to deliver a comprehensive and integrated care model.

A sign-on bonus of $50,000, along with a retention package and relocation assistance, is available for full-time applicants.

Our organization offers tertiary oncology services through our hospital systems and multi-specialty practice, accredited by The American College of Surgeons as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. We are experiencing rapid growth, currently managing around 1,800 analytic cancer cases annually. Our facility is equipped with essential components of a comprehensive oncology service line, including advanced radiation oncology and surgical specialties in Breast, Thoracic, Gastrointestinal, Gynecologic, Genitourinary oncology, and Hepatobiliary Surgery. All our nursing staff are oncology certified, and we provide genetic counseling and screening on-site. There are numerous opportunities for involvement in research and clinical trials.

At the Cancer Institute, our multidisciplinary Tumor Boards convene a diverse array of specialists to collaboratively evaluate complex patient cases, crafting personalized, evidence-based treatment plans. Our extensive clinical trials program allows patients early access to cutting-edge therapies. This initiative is further supported by the Rudy L. Ruggles Biomedical Research Institute, which conducts translational cancer research, bridging laboratory breakthroughs directly to patient care to enhance health outcomes in the community.

Located along the picturesque Hudson River, our facility features a new 752,000 square-foot, eight-story inpatient pavilion, housing 263 private medical/surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms. We provide premier acute and critical emergency care in the region, including Level II Trauma Service and Interventional Neuroradiology. Our centers of excellence span cardiac services, neurosciences, cancer care, and women's health. We are consistently recognized for having one of the top cardiac programs in the United States and have been listed among the Top 100 Heart Hospitals by Modern HealthCare Magazine.

Compensation: $400,000-$600,000 per year, depending on experience and position.
