This role supports the Accounting Manager in the sales and revenue transaction cycle, floorplan inventory administration, and commission tracking and payout process. The Staff Accountant will work closely with our sales administration, accounts receivable and payable staff, and operational teams to help ensure transactions are properly recorded and invoices are accurately issued in accordance with GAAP principles. Additionally, the role will assist with the monthly close process, general ledger account reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable support, cash management, and a variety of accounting and administrative responsibilities. This role offers the opportunity to grow alongside the organization as accounting processes, reporting capabilities, and system integrations continue to matureKey Responsibilities:Support the revenue transaction cycle, including invoice review and processingAssist with floorplan inventory administration and related reconciliationsTrack and support commission calculations and payoutsAssist with monthly and year-end close activitiesPrepare account reconciliations and resolve discrepanciesSupport accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management processesPartner with operational and sales teams to improve transaction accuracy and workflow efficiencyAssist with inventory validation and floorplan audit supportIdentify process improvement and system enhancement opportunitiesMaintain clear documentation of recurring issues and resolutions to support root-cause analysis and continuous improvementFollow documented accounting processes consistently to support standardization, control, and auditabilityParticipate in process improvements that reduce rework, manual effort, and recurring errorsSupport month-end and year-end close activities across multiple accounting functionsOther projects as assignedQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting required2+ years of accounting experience with job duties related to revenue transaction cycleExperience in dealership, inventory-based, manufacturing, or construction-related industries preferredFamiliarity with AR, AP, cash management, and month-end closeERP experience required (Dynamics Business Central or similar preferred)Intermediate to advanced knowledge of ExcelStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to recognize patterns, surface exceptions, and support process and system improvementsAbility to manage deadlines in a transaction-heavy environmentClear written and verbal communication skillsAbility to travel periodically for inventory validation and floorplan audit supportAs a Lee Bobcat team member, you will enjoy a total compensation package that includes competitive pay and benefits.Competitive Hourly Rate: Pay range for this role is $70,000-85,000 a year, dependent upon experienceHealth & Wellness: medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, life, employee assistance program and pet insurance.Work/Life Balance: generous paid time off and holiday schedule.Financial Wellbeing: 401(k) savings plan, tuition reimbursement, employee discount programs, etc.We are a drug free workplace; drug and alcohol testing will be conducted as part of the post-employment offer process.Bay City Electric Works is an equal employment opportunity employer.
