Job Summary

Savannah Smiles Dental Center is looking for a friendly, skilled, and dependable Registered Dental Hygienist to join our small, close-knit team. We take pride in treating our patients like family and creating a warm, welcoming environment where both patients and team members feel valued.

In this role, you will deliver high-quality dental hygiene services, support the dentist during exams, and contribute to developing personalized treatment plans based on your clinical findings.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience
• Review dental care plans with patients and address any questions or concerns
• Maintain strict sterilization protocols and comply with all safety standards
• Review medical histories and record vital signs
• Conduct preliminary exams and gather oral health histories
• Assess patients for gum disease, tooth decay, and other oral health conditions
• Perform dental cleanings, remove plaque, and apply fluoride treatments
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventative care techniques
• Take digital X-rays and dental impressions as needed
• Assist the dentist during examinations, accurately chart findings, and help develop treatment plans
• Contribute to an efficient, organized, and team-focused workflow

Qualifications

• Registered Dental Hygienist License
• Laser Certified
• CPR Certified
• At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
• Able to stand for extended periods and bend repeatedly
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a team-oriented environment
