Big Data Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) Client: Synechron / Wells Fargo EXP: 9+ Years Rate: $55/hr. on C2C Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Big Data Engineer to join a high-performing team supporting enterprise-scale data initiatives for Wells Fargo through Synechron. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Big Data technologies, Hadoop ecosystem, Python development, and Angular for building and supporting data-driven applications. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable Big Data solutions using the Hadoop ecosystem. Build and optimize ETL/data ingestion pipelines for structured and unstructured data. Develop data processing applications using Python. Create and enhance front-end components using Angular for data visualization and application interfaces. Work with large datasets to ensure data quality, integrity, and performance. Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and development teams to gather requirements and implement solutions. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data processing workflows. Follow enterprise development standards, security guidelines, and best practices. Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support. Required Skills Strong experience with Big Data technologies and the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Spark, MapReduce, YARN, etc.). Proficiency in Python for data engineering and application development. Experience with Angular for front-end development. Experience building ETL pipelines and handling large-scale datasets. Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases. Experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark. Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
