Position Available for 2026-2027 School Year

Full-Time 10-Month Certified Nursing Assistant

Position Summary:


Under the supervision of the Health Resources Consultant (HRC) RN or designee, provides hands on individualized personal care for identified student(s). Provides support to the student to achieve the student's educational goals as directed by the resource and classroom teachers.

EDUCATION:


Completion of Certified Nurse Assistant program with a high school diploma or equivalent. Participates in continuing education mandated by program, external agencies or directed by supervisor.

PERFORMANCE AND BEHAVIORAL EXPERCTATIONS:
1. Provides and assists with activities of daily living, including G-button feeding.
2. Assist with personal hygiene as scheduled and prn.
3. Take and record vital signs, I&O as ordered.
4. Report any changes in student's status to RN.
5. Assist with positioning to maintain good body alignment.
6. Able to monitor student for changes in status/illness which may require
emergency intervention.
7. Provides a safe and secure environment for student, at school, off
campus or in transit.
8. Follow standard precautions and uses personal protective equipment
as needed.
9. Maintains student confidentiality, follows district policy and procedures.
10. Maintains effective working relationships with student, teachers and family.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:


Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate, current CPR basic life
support certificate (from AHA).
